User Privacy Agreement

Easemob places great emphasis on your privacy.
In order to facilitate your login and use of related services to provide you with a more personalized user experience and services, we may collect and use your related information when you use our services. We hope to explain to you through the agreement, how we collect, use, store and disclose your information when you use the Easemob IM service (collectively referred to as "the service"), as well as illustrate how the information is accessed, updated, controlled, and protected. We hope that you read this agreement carefully as it is closely related to the cloud service you use. By using our service, you agree to our collection, use, storage and disclosure of your information, as well as the controls and protections we provide to you, in accordance with this agreement.
1. What Personal Information We Collect About You
In this agreement, "personal information" refers to all kinds of information recorded electronically or in other ways that, alone or in combination with other information, can identify a specific natural person or reflect the activities of a natural person.
In order to ensure the normal operation of the service, improve and optimize our service, and protect account security, we will actively collect your personal information that is necessary for providing the service. Easemob IM will collect the information in the following ways that you voluntarily or are authorized to provide or generate when you register or use the service:
1.1 When you register an account:
When you register to use this service in your own name or on behalf of your company, you will provide us with your name, email address, and contact number, and set your password. You may also choose to add other information to complete your account, such as uploading your photo. To complete the payment, we will also collect your bank account information.
1.2 When you use our products: (Note: This information collection scope description applies to SDK 3.8.4 and above)
During your use of this service, we will collect the following information required to provide continuous service and ensure service quality:
a. Information related to your device: your random device ID, hardware type, device model, and system type.
b. Information related to your network status: your device network type.
c. Information related to your interaction with our products: The user ID of the sender and recipient, App ID (application package name), login time, and SDK version.
d. Your chat information: We provide communication cloud services and related supporting services for enterprise customers. If you use this function as an end user of an enterprise customer or use our Demo in the name of an individual user, to provide the communication business function, we will collect, transmit, and store the text communication information and audio and video stream information generated during your use of the service, which may include your personal information (such as texts, pictures, audios, videos, your images, sounds, portraits, and the content of your communications) provided to us and/or the individuals you interact with.
e. When you use location information: your GPS location information, and latitude and longitude will be collected.
1.3 When you use our EaseIMKIT or EaseCallKit: (Note: This information collection applies only to EaseIMKIT/EaseCallKit 3.9.5 and earlier for Android)
We will get your ongoing processes to make sure that the SDK is initialized on the main process.
1.4 When you make a service inquiry:
When you give us feedback on service quality, apply for technical support, or provide product optimization suggestions in the process of using our products, or when you submit applications, requests, appeals, or complaints to us through our official website, email, or telephone, we will collect your name, email address, correspondence address, telephone number, and the content of your application, request, appeal and complaint. In order to strengthen communication, if you provide it voluntarily, we will also collect your WeChat account and QQ account.
1.5 When you apply for offline delivery:
For the performance of the contract, you will provide necessary information such as the contact person, contact information, and address.
2. How We Store Personal Information
2.1 Where is the information stored
We will store personal information in China that is collected and generated in China in accordance with laws and regulations.
2.2 How long can the information be stored
Generally, we only retain your information for as long as we provide the service to you, and no longer than is necessary to satisfy the relevant purpose of use.
However, in the following circumstances, and only for the purposes related to the following circumstances, we may need to retain your information or part of it for a longer period of time:
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations and other relevant rules.
• To comply with court decisions, rulings or requirements of other legal procedures.
• To comply with the requirements of relevant government agencies or other competent authorities.
• We have reason to believe that we need to comply with laws, regulations, and relevant provisions.
• It is reasonable and necessary for fulfilling relevant service agreements or this agreement, safeguarding the public interests, handling complaints/disputes, and protecting the personal and property safety or legitimate rights and interests of our customers, us or our affiliates, other users or employees.
3. How We Protect Personal Information
3.1 We strive to provide security assurance for users' information to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure of information.
3.2 We will take various security protection measures within a reasonable security level to ensure the security of information. For example, we will adopt security measures such as server backups and password encryption to prevent information leakage, damage, and loss.
3.3 We have established strict management systems and procedures to ensure the security of information. For example, we strictly limit the scope of people who have access to information and conduct audits that require them to comply with confidentiality obligations.
3.4 In the event of a security incident such as personal information leakage, we will activate an emergency plan to prevent the expansion of the security incident, report it in a timely manner in accordance with the "National Network Security Incident Emergency Response Plan" and other relevant regulations, and notify you of relevant issues in the form of emails, push notifications, and announcements and give you safety advice.
3.5 We attach great importance to information security compliance and have passed many international and domestic security certifications, such as ISO 27018 public cloud personal information protection certification, network security level protection certification, and ISO 27001 information security management system certification, fully protecting your information security with industry-leading solutions.
We will do our best to protect your personal information. We also ask you to understand that no security measure can be flawless.
4. How We Use Personal Information
In order to provide you with better, safer, and more convenient services, we may use the collected information for the following purposes in accordance with relevant laws and regulations:
• Provide you with services.
• Meet your individual needs, such as language settings, location settings, personalized help services and directions, or other responses to you and other users.
• Service optimization and development. For example, we will optimize our services based on the information generated by the Easemob IM to respond to your needs.
• Protect the Easemob IM, Easemob IM users and Easemob partners. For example, we will use your information for identity verification, security protection, complaint handling, dispute coordination, fraud monitoring, and other purposes.
• Provide you with services that are more relevant to you. For example, providing you with similar features or services that may be of interest to you.
• Invite you to participate in surveys about our products and services.
• Other relevant scenarios that may require the use of the collected information. If the usage scenario is not reasonably related to the initial scenario, we will obtain your consent again before using the information.
5. Information Sharing and External Provision
We will not share your information with any unrelated third parties, with the following exceptions:
5.1 Get your explicit consent: With your prior consent, we may share your personal information with third parties.
5.2 For the purpose of external processing, we may share your personal information with affiliates or other third-party partners (including third-party service providers, contractors, and agents), allowing them, by following our instructions, privacy policies and other relevant confidentiality and security measures, to process the above information for us and to provide you with our services for the purposes described in the "How We Use the Information" section. If we share your information with any of the above third parties, we will endeavor to ensure that the third party uses your information in compliance with this Agreement and other appropriate confidentiality and security measures that we require of them.
5.3 As our business continues to develop, we and our affiliates may conduct mergers, acquisitions, asset transfers or similar transactions, and your information may be transferred as part of such transactions. Subject to relevant laws and regulations, we will notify you in advance to ensure information confidentiality during the transfer and continue to fulfill the related responsibilities and obligations after the change.
5.4 We may also disclose your information for the following reasons:
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations and other relevant rules.
• To comply with court judgments, rulings or other legal procedures.
• To comply with the requirements of relevant government agencies or other competent authorities.
• We have reason to believe that we need to comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• It is reasonable and necessary for fulfilling the relevant service agreement or this agreement, safeguarding the public interests, handling complaints/disputes, and protecting the personal and property safety or legitimate rights and interests of our customers, us or our affiliates, other users or employees.
• Your authorization is obtained in advance.
If we disclose your information for the above reasons, we will promptly inform you in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and this agreement.
6. How You Access and Manage Personal Information
6.1 You can access, modify, and delete your relevant information in the process of using our services. How you access, modify, and delete information will depend on the specific service you use.
6.2 If you find that we collect and use your information in violation of laws and regulations or the agreement of both parties, you can ask us to delete it. If you find that your information collected and stored by us is inaccurate and cannot be corrected by yourself, you can also ask us to correct it.
6.3 When accessing, modifying, and deleting relevant information, we may require you to perform identity verification to ensure account security. Please understand that due to technical limitations and legal and regulatory requirements, some of your requests may not be responded to.
6.4 Some of your information may not be accessible, modified, or deleted due to good reasons such as legal requirements and information security.
6.5 You can choose to withdraw your consent given to the processing of your information for certain non-basic functions or services, and choose to deregister your Easemob IM account by contacting our customer service.

7. Changes to This Privacy Agreement
We may revise the terms of this agreement from time to time, and such revisions form part of the agreement. If there are important rule changes that may result in the substantial reduction of your rights under this Agreement or the expansion of the scope of collection and use of information, we will prompt you in a prominent position on the homepage or send you an email or otherwise before the revision takes effect. In such event, by continuing to use our service, you agree to be bound by this revised Agreement.
